Cannabis legalized in Germany

In just a few days cannabis (marijuana) will become legal in Germany for personal use.  This new legalization law, however, does have its critics.  Thomas Fischback of the German Federation of Doctors for Children and Adolescents (BVKJ) says he's against legalization, because it will make marijuana use increase with young people.  Also saying that “Chronic cannabis use makes you stupid, to put it bluntly, and can also cause psychosis.” Yet advocates of the new law like the German Cannabis Association, say government regulation will reduce the likelihood of impurities such as sand, hairspray, talcum powder, spices or even glass and lead, being mixed with the cannabis.  Learn more.
